Kenya AA Nyeri Karuthi
The Roasting House's seasonal coffee hails from a single washing station called Karuthi in the Nyeri District, located on the south eastern slopes of the Aberdares mountain and managed by Othaya Farmers’ Co-Operative Society. This coffee is grown at altitudes reaching up to 2300 meters above sea level. This lot offers a bracing yet sweet and juicy acidity reminiscent to blackcurrant, red grapes, and dry green apples, with a present body that makes it a sensational option for Pour Over coffees, Aeropress and, only for the brave, an espresso. Coffee in Kenya is grown in a number of cities, where in each city several farms contribute to producing coffee before sending them to washing stations for processing. This coffee is only processed in a single washing station. This coffee is comprised of SL28, SL34, and Ruiru11 varieties.
